Hey there,
Welcome my friend, I‘m so happy to have ya! Hopefully you’re having an amazing day! Somehow you’ve found yourself here, wanting to know a bit more, perhaps? Easy peasy!
Well, if we must go back to the beginning… I hail from Marion, Massachusetts. A small beach town just before Cape Cod. I spent my summers underwater and winters rolling snowmen. The type of town people never leave, nonetheless.
That just isn’t me.
Only a few days after turning 18, I quit my job(s), gave my car to my bestie, and shipped off to what was then known as… FKCC a.k.a. good ol’ Florida Keys Community College!
Suddenly transplanted on the subtropic island of Key West, Florida. Little did I know what the universe had in store for me. Growing pains, heartbreak, loss, the worst of times... All far out weighed by the absolute best of times, wildest adventures, unexpected friendships, necessary development, and a lust for discovery.
Here I’ve found my ever evolving meaning for life.
Right before my final semester of college, I decided to do something I truly thought would always be out of my reach. I saved every penny I could from my work study job and made a leap across the pond.
13 countries, 18 cities. From Iceland to London and so on through the Netherlands and Eastern Europe to Greece. Up through every major city in Italy, a hop and a skip over to France + Spain, then a final jump to my family’s homeland of Portugal. With oh so many stops in between.
Thus began a hunger. For culture, history, sweeping landscapes, extreme sports, and the connections made along the way. What is even more profound, the path of spirituality that becomes inevitable. No, not a religion, but instead a vibration, and perhaps a dance.
A dance of balance, and lessons in listening,. Finding your sight and learning to share what you see. Acceptance in the face of hardship and definitely rebellion in the name of love and self worth.
Fast forward to today,
Here begins a chapter that is equivalent to the common crossing of the train tracks. Enroute to a place of growth. You may have met me in Key West, FL waiting on your table, or a crazy woman in the streets. Perhaps in Peru we shared a trail, or in Amsterdam a truffle. Maybe I haven’t met you yet. One way or another one thing is for sure though, you’re in it now!
I look at this venture as a person who fells that if one is scared to jump into the unknown at the risk of achieving a life larger than imaginable. Then perhaps it is in fact, time to JUMP.
Oh man, I am scared for the future but I know I have my friends, family, and you. Whoever you are, just by reading this right now, you believe in me, And that plus a bit of hard work, is enough. It makes this dream a reality.
This blog is the beginning of sharing the way I experience, love, and ultimately DREAM.
This is part of my legacy. So thanks for reading, being, and supporting.
Please don’t just read, reach out! I’d love to connect and or reconnect. Encouraging comments are always welcome and appreciated! Need some advice? I gotchu! Suggestions and ideas for a future blog post? Bring it on!
Thank you so much for being part of my community, *tiny scream*
